This policy covers the Google Workspace™ add-on Table of Contents & Numbering, including its paid features (“the Add-on”), published by Daily Picks.

Summary

Reads only the document you have open. It changes the document only when you press a button that adds or removes numbers, captions, references or the list of figures, and its content is not sent anywhere. We do not operate a server or a database, and we cannot see your files.

What the Add-on reads

• Only the file you have open, and only while you use the sidebar: the text of your headings, captions and list lines, and the position of images and tables. Only when you press “Insert list”, it also reads a PDF copy of the document that Google produces, and it reads that copy inside the sidebar in your browser to count pages.
• The Add-on checks the ID of the open file and refuses any other ID.

What the Add-on stores

• If you activate a license, the license key, whether it is valid, when it was last checked and the number of activations are stored in your Google account’s add-on storage (user properties), not in the file.
• Invisible marks inside your own document, only for the things you ask it to add: named ranges and bookmarks that remember where the added numbers, captions, references and the list are, so that renumbering and Remove touch only those. They are part of your document, not stored with us.
• Nothing else.

What the Add-on does not do

• It changes your document only when you press a button that adds, renumbers or removes numbers, captions, cross-references or the list of figures — never on its own. Text you typed yourself (for example “1. Preface”) is left alone, and each addition can be taken away with its Remove button.
• It does not create, read or change files in your Google Drive™.
• It does not send your file’s content to us or to any third party.
• It does not use analytics, tracking, advertising, or cookies.
• We, the developer, cannot read your data. There is no mechanism by which we could.

Permissions (OAuth scopes) and why

We deliberately do not request drive or drive.readonly, and the Add-on has no permission to connect to outside services from its server code.

License verification (paid features only)

The Add-on talks to one service other than Google, and only to check a license: Gumroad (api.gumroad.com), where the license is sold.

• When: when you enter a license key, and about once a week after that, when you open the sidebar (to confirm the purchase has not been refunded or disputed).
• What is sent: only the license key, the product ID, and whether to count this as a new activation. Nothing about your files is sent.
• How: your browser sends it directly to Gumroad. The key is never sent to us.
• Gumroad’s response includes details of the purchase, including the email address used to buy it. The Add-on uses only whether the license is valid and the number of activations. It does not store or display the purchase email address.
• On screen, the key is shown only as its last four characters.
• The free version never contacts Gumroad.
• Gumroad’s handling of this data is governed by Gumroad’s privacy policy.

Sharing, transfer and disclosure of Google user data

We do not share, transfer, sell or disclose Google user data to anyone. This includes advertisers, data brokers, analytics providers, AI or machine-learning services, and any other third party.

• The Google user data the Add-on accesses (the headings, captions, list lines and the positions of images and tables in the document you have open, and the PDF copy used to count pages) is processed only inside Google’s own infrastructure (Google Apps Script) and in the add-on sidebar in your own browser. It is never sent to us, to Gumroad, or to anyone else.
• The only service other than Google that the Add-on contacts is Gumroad, and only to check a license. What is sent is the license key and the product ID, which are not Google user data. No document content and no Google account information is sent.
• Google user data is not used to develop, improve or train generalized AI or machine-learning models.
• No person reads your Google user data. We have no means to access it.
• Because we hold no copy of your data, we have nothing to disclose in response to a legal request.

How your data is protected

• No server, no database: we operate no server and keep no database that could hold your data.
• Encrypted connections: all communication between your browser, Google and Gumroad uses HTTPS (TLS encryption).
• Minimum permissions: the Add-on asks only for access to the document you have open (documents.currentonly) and for permission to show its sidebar. It cannot open other files in your Google Drive™, and its server code has no permission to connect to outside services.
• Storage inside Google: the marks for the numbers, captions, references and the list are named ranges and bookmarks inside your document; the license information is kept in your Google account’s add-on storage (user properties). Both are protected by Google’s security.
• The license key is masked: only its last four characters are shown on screen. The purchase email address returned by Gumroad is not stored or displayed.

Limited Use

The Add-on’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Deleting your data

• The license key: press “Remove the key from this account” (twice) under License in the sidebar.
• Numbers, captions, references and lists the Add-on added: press the matching Remove buttons in the sidebar, or delete them in the document like ordinary text. The bookmarks it adds appear as ordinary bookmarks in Docs and can be deleted there.
• To remove the Add-on’s access entirely: uninstall it from the Google Workspace™ Marketplace, and remove its access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

We hold no copy of your data, so there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf.

Children

The Add-on is not directed at children.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.

本アドオンが行わないこと

• Google Drive™ のファイルを作らず、読まず、変えません
• ファイルの内容を、提供者にも第三者にも送りません
• アクセス解析・トラッキング・広告・Cookie を使いません
• 提供者が利用者のデータを読むことはできません。 そのための仕組みが存在しません

権限（OAuth スコープ）とその理由

drive や drive.readonly は意図的に要求していません。また、本アドオンのサーバー側には外部に通信する権限がありません。

ライセンスの確認について（有料機能のみ）

本アドオンが Google 以外と通信するのは、ライセンスを確かめるときだけです。相手はライセンスの販売元の Gumroad（api.gumroad.com）です。

• いつ：ライセンスキーを入れたときと、その後おおむね週1回（サイドバーを開いたとき。返金や支払いの異議申し立てがされていないかを確かめるため）
• 送るもの：ライセンスキーと商品 ID だけ（と「新しい有効化として数えるか」の印）。ファイルに関するものは送りません

Google のユーザーデータの共有・移転・開示

Google のユーザーデータを、誰にも共有・移転・販売・開示しません。広告主・データ業者・アクセス解析の事業者・AI や機械学習のサービスを含む、どの第三者にも渡しません。

• 本アドオンが扱う Google のユーザーデータ（開いている文書の見出し・キャプション・目次の行の文字、画像や表の位置、ページを数えるための PDF の複製）は、Google の基盤（Google Apps Script）と、あなたのブラウザのサイドバーの中だけで処理します。提供者にも Gumroad にも、ほかの誰にも送りません。
• 本アドオンが Google 以外と通信するのは、ライセンスを確かめるときの Gumroad だけです。送るのはライセンスキーと商品 ID で、Google のユーザーデータではありません。文書の内容や Google アカウントの情報は送りません。

Limited Use（Google のデータの使い方の制限）

本アドオンが Google API から受け取った情報の使用と移転は、Limited Use の要件を含む Google API サービスのユーザーデータに関するポリシーに従います。

データの削除

• ライセンスキー：サイドバーのライセンス欄の「このアカウントからキーを外す」を2回押してください
• アドオンが付けた番号・キャプション・参照・目次：サイドバーの対応する「外す」ボタンを押すか、文書の中で通常の文字と同じように消してください。付けたブックマークは Docs の通常のブックマークとして見え、そこで削除できます。
• アドオンのアクセスを完全に外す：Google Workspace™ Marketplace からアンインストールし、myaccount.google.com/permissions でアクセス権を削除してください

提供者は利用者のデータの写しを一切持っていないため、提供者側で削除するものはありません。
