This policy covers the Google Workspace add-on Speaker Notes Export for Google Slides, including its paid features (“the Add-on”), published by Daily Picks.

Summary

The add-on reads only the speaker notes and slide titles of the file you have open (and the slide text only for the handout layout or note drafts). It changes your notes only when you review the change and press Apply. Files you create are saved straight to your computer — not to Google Drive. We do not operate a server or a database, and we cannot see your files.

What the Add-on reads

Only the file you have open, and only while you use the sidebar: the speaker notes, the title (the title box, or the first text), the slide number and whether the slide is hidden; and — only for the handout layout and “draft from slide text” — the text in the slide’s shapes. It does not read slide images, comments or other files.
The Add-on checks the ID of the open file and refuses any other ID.

What the Add-on stores

If you activate a license, the license key, whether it is valid, when it was last checked and the number of activations are stored in your Google account’s add-on storage (user properties), not in the file.
Nothing from your slides is stored by the Add-on. The notes it has read are held only in the memory of the open sidebar and disappear when you close it. “Undo” works only while the sidebar stays open.
Files you export (PDF, Word, TXT, etc.) are created inside the sidebar in your browser and downloaded to your computer. They are not uploaded anywhere.
Nothing else.

What the Add-on does not do

It does not change your slides or notes unless you review a change and press Apply (editing, importing, replacing, formatting, drafting or clearing notes). Before each change, the notes about to be replaced are downloaded to your computer as a text backup, and the last change can be undone.
It does not create, read or change files in your Google Drive.
It does not send your file’s content to us or to any third party.
It does not use analytics, tracking, advertising, or cookies.
We, the developer, cannot read your data. There is no mechanism by which we could.

Permissions (OAuth scopes) and why

We deliberately do not request drive or drive.readonly, and the Add-on has no permission to connect to outside services from its server code.

License verification (paid features only)

The Add-on talks to one service other than Google, and only to check a license: Gumroad (api.gumroad.com), where the license is sold.

When: when you enter a license key, and about once a week after that, when you open the sidebar (to confirm the purchase has not been refunded or disputed).
What is sent: only the license key, the product ID, and whether to count this as a new activation. Nothing about your files is sent.
How: your browser sends it directly to Gumroad. The key is never sent to us.
Gumroad’s response includes details of the purchase, including the email address used to buy it. The Add-on uses only whether the license is valid and the number of activations. It does not store or display the purchase email address.
On screen, the key is shown only as its last four characters.
The free version never contacts Gumroad.
Gumroad’s handling of this data is governed by Gumroad’s privacy policy.

Sharing, transfer and disclosure of Google user data

We do not share, transfer, sell or disclose Google user data to anyone. This includes advertisers, data brokers, analytics providers, AI or machine-learning services, and any other third party.

The Google user data the Add-on accesses (the speaker notes, slide titles, slide text and name of the presentation you have open) is processed only inside Google’s own infrastructure (Google Apps Script) and in the add-on sidebar in your own browser. Files you export are created in your browser and saved to your computer. It is never sent to us, to Gumroad, or to anyone else.
The only service other than Google that the Add-on contacts is Gumroad, and only to check a license. What is sent is the license key and the product ID, which are not Google user data. No presentation content and no Google account information is sent.
Google user data is not used to develop, improve or train generalized AI or machine-learning models.
No person reads your Google user data. We have no means to access it.
Because we hold no copy of your data, we have nothing to disclose in response to a legal request.

How your data is protected

No server, no database: we operate no server and keep no database that could hold your data.
Encrypted connections: all communication between your browser, Google and Gumroad uses HTTPS (TLS encryption).
Minimum permissions: the Add-on asks only for access to the presentation you have open (presentations.currentonly) and for permission to show its sidebar and dialogs. It cannot open other files in your Google Drive, and its server code has no permission to connect to outside services.
Storage inside your Google account: the only thing stored is, if you activate one, the license information, kept in your Google account’s add-on storage (user properties), which only you can access. It is protected by Google’s security.
The license key is masked: only its last four characters are shown on screen. The purchase email address returned by Gumroad is not stored or displayed.

Limited Use

The Add-on’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Deleting your data

The license key: press “Remove the key from this account” (twice) under License in the sidebar.
Exported files and backups: they are ordinary files in your Downloads folder. Delete them like any other file; the Add-on never uploads them.
To remove the Add-on’s access entirely: uninstall it from the Google Workspace Marketplace, and remove its access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

We hold no copy of your data, so there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf.

Children

The Add-on is not directed at children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.

本アドオンは、スライドの内容を保存しません。読んだノートは、開いているサイドバーの記憶の中だけに置かれ、閉じると消えます。「戻す」はサイドバーを開いている間だけ使えます。
書き出したファイル（PDF・Word・TXT など）は、ブラウザのサイドバーの中で作られ、あなたのパソコンにダウンロードされます。どこにもアップロードしません。
それ以外は保存しません。

本アドオンが行わないこと

変更を確認して「変える」を押したとき（編集・取り込み・置換・書式・下書き・ノートの消去）以外は、スライドもノートも書き換えません。書き換える前に、置き換わるノートを TXT の控えとしてパソコンにダウンロードし、直前の1回は元に戻せます

drive や drive.readonly は意図的に要求していません。また、本アドオンのサーバー側には外部に通信する権限がありません。

本アドオンが扱う Google のユーザーデータ（開いているプレゼンテーションのスピーカーノート・スライドのタイトル・スライドの文字・名前）は、Google の基盤（Google Apps Script）と、あなたのブラウザのサイドバーの中だけで処理します。書き出したファイルはブラウザの中で作り、あなたのパソコンに保存します。提供者にも Gumroad にも、ほかの誰にも送りません。

データの保護

データの削除

ライセンスキー：サイドバーのライセンス欄の「このアカウントからキーを外す」を2回押してください
書き出したファイル・控え：パソコンのダウンロードにある普通のファイルです。ほかのファイルと同じように削除してください（本アドオンがアップロードすることはありません）
アドオンのアクセスを完全に外す：Google Workspace Marketplace からアンインストールし、myaccount.google.com/permissions でアクセス権を削除してください

提供者は利用者のデータの写しを一切持っていないため、提供者側で削除するものはありません。
