Terms of Service — Codeglaze for Docs™ & Slides™

These terms govern your use of the Google Workspace add-on Codeglaze for Docs™ & Slides™ (“the Add-on”), published by Daily Picks (“we”).

1. License

You may install and use the Add-on at no charge, for personal or commercial purposes, in any Google Docs™ or Google Slides™ file you have access to, under your own Google account.

You may not resell, redistribute or sublicense the Add-on, or present it as your own.

The Add-on includes open-source software (highlight.js, BSD-3-Clause), which is licensed under its own terms. The notice is on the product page and on the listing page.

We may add optional paid features in the future. Any paid feature will be marked as paid, with its price and terms, before you buy it. This version has none.

2. Your code and your files

You keep all rights to your code, documents and slides. We do not receive them. You are responsible for what you put into your files and for having the right to use it.

3. What the Add-on does not guarantee

Highlighting is automatic. The language can be detected wrongly, and the colors depend on the theme you pick. Check the result before you rely on it, especially in material you publish or teach from.

The Add-on changes your file only when you press a button, and Ctrl+Z undoes it. Even so, you are responsible for keeping your own backups of any file that matters to you.

The known limitations are stated on the product page and are repeated here:

Inline highlighting, the ``` conversion and the `code` conversion work in Google Docs™ only
Line numbers are real text and are copied with the code
The Add-on requires an internet connection
Fonts come from Google’s own font list

4. No warranty

The Add-on is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with future versions of Google Workspace.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data or business interruption, arising from your use of the Add-on. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Add-on, which for the free version is zero.

6. Changes and availability

We may update the Add-on, and may change or discontinue features or the Add-on itself. Google may change Google Workspace or Apps Script in ways that affect the Add-on. We will make reasonable efforts to keep it working, but we do not guarantee it.
